I am 14 yrs. old and have a 5-6hr. flight with my mom coming soon! I am extremely excited, but am not good with sitting down for a long period of time.. So far these are the things i am taking on the plane to keep my entertained.

~ Nintendo DS ( Feel free to add nintendo ds games that i can go buy before the trip!)
~Camera
~Magazines and a good book
Any suggestions on movies i can buy or nintendo ds games that i should get, and anything else you think i should bring to keep me entertained.. i dont have a laptop eitherWhat should i take on my 5-6 hr. airplane flight?
I think you covered a lot of things that everyone would already suggest. I would suggest you bring some snacks because airplane food isnt always great and you can get hungry.
Just take an Ipod and a book. The airlines provide TV screens for every seat with a wide variety of movies/programs/music to suit various tastes.
If you are traveling to Europe, you are probably leaving in the evening in which case you will get dinner, a movie and sleep.
If you take too much STUFF with you, you will definitely look like a spoiled, unimaginative newbie who can't cope, seriously! What should i take on my 5-6 hr. airplane flight?
iPod can only play mp4 or h.264 videos. So you need to convert the DVD movie into the right format first. You need a prosfessional DVD to iPod converter to help you, like Leawo Free DVD to iPod Converter. It is free with no limitation. it can do the converting fast. You can download it from here

Any two of the five should keep you well occupied. You can probably read one book in that time, or put it aside after a couple hours and watch a movie. just remember, you'll also find you want to look out the window if you have one (the view from above can be quite fascinating in small doses). Odds are also pretty good you'll fall asleep for a while.
For about the first and last half hour on the plane, you won't be allowed to use electronic devices, anyway, so make sure you have reading material. There'll also be a magazine or two. If you really feel the need for more stuff, bring a book of word games or sudoku or something. It passes the time really well.
