Should I buy a new personal computer?

Asus MB

E8400 CPU

4 GB DDR2

2 320GB drives in Raid0

DVD RW

8800 GTS card

Would I see any real world difference if I upgraded to a new i7 based machine? Should I wait for the i9, which is coming soon?

Thanks for reading my post!

Additional Details

I play WoW, Quake4, etc. but also do a lot of picture and movie manipulation. There is nothing this PC can't do, but I'm getting the itch for a new machine!Should I buy a new personal computer?
That is still a very decent set up that makes my ageing rig comparatively outdated:

Personally, I would just consider the following:

1. A third drive to hold parity data

2. Overclock the E8400 to 3.5GHz or more

3. Upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit

4. Upgrade to a DX11 graphics card

Upgrading to a new PC would give you a not so significant performance boost compared to the huge cost outlay. That is unless you would be running heavily multi-threaded programs that could bottleneck a dual core.Should I buy a new personal computer?
Great! Looking forward to your upcoming kick-a** rig.

No.. in all Reality. The only real way to increase Performance is going with a Better video Card.

Nvidia 260Gtx or better.

CPU performance won't help games but maybe 2-5fps.
