A QUESTION FOR SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS?

I have recently discovered the sabbath truth and I have had to give up my job to keep it. But I do find it a blessing. But I need some advice.

There are no churches in my local area that are open on saturday. If I were to go to a church on saturday I would have to travel on bus, which I could not do on the sabbath. So all I can do is keep the sabbath on my own and still go to church on Sunday. But what can I do on the sabbath to keep it Holy? Right now on Friday evenings I will relax and listen to some Christian music and then have a bit of a bible study. Then when I go to bed I will watch a Christian dvd. Then on saturday I will watch a video on amazing facts by pastor Doug Batchelor. Then I use the internet to spread the news about God, the sabbath, and his Kingdom to come soon. I use bebo and myspace to do this. Then I will listen to more Christian music and do a bit more bible studying and pray.

Is there anything else I can do to keep the sabbath day Holy?

Many thanksA QUESTION FOR SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS?
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽OK, ignoring all other issues and just answering your specified question... You can ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and then go door-to-door in your neighborhood and ask your neighbors if they would like to share in a Bible study with you.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽You see, God's Sabbath is not about spending the day alone -- no matter what you do during that time. God's Sabbath is not only about meeting God at His Appointed Time but is also about assembling together with like believers in praise of Him. God commanded this.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽So, if you think you cannot assemble together with a like-believing church body, then you should at least go out and share your faith with other people on the Sabbath.

God bless.
wow, you are doing great already, I love Doug Batchelor, have you ever watched Jac Colon (pronounced Colgone)? He actually baptized me and my daughters, just saw him at Auburn Camp Meeting:-) They're all great and awesome...couldn't you buy a bus pass in advance to get to services? just a thought :-) God Bless and Keep You and Happy Sabbath :-)A QUESTION FOR SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS?
Is 58: 13If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

14Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
While you are getting this sorted out here is a site that has online Sabbath services every week. And Holy Day services during most of the Festivals.

The Sabbath is just the beginning of God's Feasts.

You can join an sda church online. I think another member mentioned this a couple weeks ago to someone in your exact situation. I don't know the sight but recommend calling your local conference and asking them. Also, you can get a 3abn satellite dish and tune in to Doug Bachelor's church service every Sabbath morning from Sacramento. Anyways, my heart goes out to you in light of your situation. (Oh, and plz disregard Dave/JR/Chris/whatever other ID's and multiple accounts that dude has. He's always bullying ppl on this website.)
Hi Stephen,

Wow I just want to commend you for asking this question. A lot of people believe it to be a jewish custom and you are right it is not. As far as for what church or area to go to on sabbath. I am actually having a hard time with that my self. i would say if you can get a hold of a car then go that way or carpool with someone. Maybe call the church and see if they have a van service that can pick you up and take you there. Do know that God see's what your doing and knows that you are trying so don't feel bad if you can't be around others. He will find a way for you to get there. I would just see if you could start a group maybe of your own until you can find a church home. My family and i just have church together . Still do know that they do believe in the Trinity that God and Jesus are one entity.
In Acts it says the original Christian Church met for worship "on the first day of the week". Why would you want to reject the teaching of the apostles and revert to Jewish customs?
Any Catholic Church has Saturday service.
If you are Christian, you would know that keeping the sabbath wouldn't take you to heaven. You must love one another.
Sounds like you are better at following the leading of YHVH than the SDA are.
Seventh day adventist is a cult that leads to eternal torment in hell, because it teaches works and law for salvation, and it denies the free gift of salvation in Jesus Christ (Galatians 1:6-9, Galatians 2:21).

They insist that you must keep the parts of the law that they like, but Acts, Romans, Galatians, Ephesians, 1 Timothy, Titus, and Hebrews all speak against that, and say that such groups are false.

Seventh day adventism is not Christian. Avoid seventh day adventism:

True salvation is only by believing in Jesus alone to save you, without adding any of your own works (John 3:16, John 6:29). Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in Jesus alone to save you! It is impossible to lose or "leave" salvation (John 6:39-40, John 10:28, 1 John 5:13).

The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal hell, is by believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died on the cross for our sins as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe in Jesus alone for salvation, and you will be in heaven, no matter what!

Please pray now: "Jesus, please forgive me of my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and You rose from the dead. Thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die! :D
1 it could be people very close to you that are holding church services, but don't look like a church, many sabbath keepers hold church service in motels, rented rooms, and such.

Such as the church of God international, cgi.org

#2, there are many sabbath Church's that have many things for you to do at home to keep the sabbath holy. such as, cgi.org ucg.org and lcg.org

#3 there are literally 100's of church of God Church's, one may be within walking distance from you.

here is a short list of those. Remember all of these are sabbath keepers.

If you want to practice the law, SDA doesn't observe the sabbath correctly, go to the Messianic Jews, your not under the law, but I know your searching for answers, I did the same thing. I met very nice people in both places. I try to worship the Master every day not just one day a week. Whenever people want to gather and worship Elohim in truth and in spirit is good. I'm glad that I'm not under the law because I can't keep one part of it much less all of it. Be like the Bereans and research any denomiination before you accept what they say as truth. What does their past say about them. May Elohim guide you in the name of Yeshua.
