Does OS X (Leopard before, soon snow Leopard) come with the purchase of a computer (imac or macbook pro)?

Going to buy an apple computer soon (either imac or macbook pro). Also want the OS X Snow Leopard for my current macbook. Wondering if the OS X DVD (not recovery OS X... need to install it on macbook) comes with the computer so I wait until I buy my new computer and save $30 on the OS X purchase.Does OS X (Leopard before, soon snow Leopard) come with the purchase of a computer (imac or macbook pro)?
I can't understand your question, so I will give you some info and hope it helps. Any computer built by Apple leaves the factory packed with two restore DVDs, but no retail OS X DVD. "Install Disc 2" is usually the extra software such as iLife. "Install Disc 1" is for the operating system, but it is not like a retail OS X DVD. It has only the drivers for the hardware of that particular Mac. The installer program checks for all the hardware configuration of the computer it boots. If the DVD doesn't have even one of the drivers needed for the computer, it won't continue. Apple changes some hardware of the computers every few months, so there is almost no chance you can use a restore DVD from one type of Mac with another.

There are odd workarounds for this, such as removing the hard drive from a Mac, putting it in an enclosure, and using Disk Utility to restore an internal drive to an external drive. It won't necessarily lead to a happy ending, because with the wrong drivers, weird things will happen and the video may not look correctly or even load at all. OS X drivers for built-in hardware, such as video, ethernet, and sound, are next to impossible to find online, so it's not even possible to jump through all the hoops we often must with Windows to fix driver issues. Also, there are no cab files installed on the hard drive, so there are no hidden drivers for you to extract that will help.
