Why can't I find the old Star Trek movies on DVD anymore? Are they out of print? Will they be re-released?

Last year the sets were easy to find and the individual movies were often priced at less than ten bucks. Now that the new movie is out they are going on Amazon for a much larger price and I can't find them in stores anywhere. I see they are coming out on Blu-Ray soon but I need the DVD versions.Why can't I find the old Star Trek movies on DVD anymore? Are they out of print? Will they be re-released?
