Computer program to make videos?

I made my parents a video a couple years back of a bunch of photos of me and my sisters etc Anyways it was basically just s cheap program that aloud me to do just photos and didn't last long on quality.... Im making them a new DVD coming up pretty soon for when i move out... I plan on having it be pretty long.. and i would like to put Photos and clips of homevideos on there? Does anyone know of any GOOD programs i could use to do this.... I prefer it to be free or at least cheap (dont want to pay $100 or anything lol) if you could help me out i would be very glad :)Computer program to make videos?
Try Windows Movie Maker, which comes free with Windows XP system by default. It usually locates under

C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\moviemk.exe

If this one doesn't work, try some other commercial movie making software for more advanced options, for example, I use Wondershare DVD Slideshow Builder to make youtube videos and burn DVDs.

It's less than 50$ and easy to use.

there is nothing good that is cheap! you get what you pay for. if you use windows movie maker it will be a rubbish dvd. if you get proshow gold or adobe AE you will have good dvds.Computer program to make videos?
Windows Movie Maker comes on every PC

and if you have a Mac, then iMovie comes on that.
