Is there going to be a new version of Wii coming out soon?

I'm thinking of getting a Wii now, but if there's gonna be a new version of it soon, then I'll just wait a month or two. I heard rumors of having colors and a DVD drive, although they might be false about having a new version completely. Please give me some advice!Is there going to be a new version of Wii coming out soon?
If they were going to change it this year they would have said something at E3. I don't see any changes coming anytime soon as there is no need for them to change it. They can't keep up with demand as is.
It's up to you. Depending on where you live, Wiis may be difficult to find now, so it might be better to wait a while if a new version is coming out soon.



The colored Wiis would be nice, although the color White will always be in style for the Wii. I haven't heard anything about a new version, but if you think you will like a colored one better, then try to find out when that will be coming out.



A Wii with a DVD player....probably not going to happen for a while. Just wondering, but why do people want their Wii to play DVDs? You can play them on your DVD player or even your computer.

That is a really old rumor that has been going on since the beginning of 2007. While I am sure Nintendo will eventually release the Wii in different colors (Like they did with the Gamecube) I don't see that happening this year. I don't think Nintendo will get around to putting in a DVD drive, but they probably will on their next console.
actually i saw in a nintendo power issue that nintendo was coming out with colors for the wii in spring but that issue was old and i dont think they did or will for a while

nintendo did say they would install a dvd player but the demand and the revenue for the wii is so high right now they saw no need to do it now

DVD playback just isn't going to happen. At least not within the next two years, and even then it will probably only be in Japan.



Colors will happen eventually, but not until supply has caught up with and surpassed demand.
I don't think Nintendo will release a new wii as they have never done it with other of their consoles.
